The Rotary International District 3800, led by District Governor Roberto “Bobby” Zamora officially turned over to the Kidney Foundation Foundation of the Philippines, represented by its Chairman and Founder Dr. Enrique “Ike” Ona and President Rafael “Ernie”Hernandez, “The Vascular Treatment Project” under Global Grant Number 2454244 from the Rotary Foundation of the Rotary International. The Project turnover was held on April 16, 2025, at the Kidney Foundation of the Philippines Office in Pasig City.
The Project aims to (a) provide affordable renal care to the communities of Pasig City and its surrounding cities; (b) provide facilities necessary for the communities to gain access to renal care, particularly the vascular access surgery required for dialysis.
The donor clubs with Rotary Club of Wack Wack, as lead Club, in cooperation with the Rotary Clubs of Mandaluyong, Jenni-Poongnam, Malabon, Pasig North, Mandaluyong Biyaya, Pasig Central and Tiger Mandaluyong, were present during the turnover.
Irresistible President Joan Marie Tejada represented the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong and delivered a brief message of appreciation below during the Program.
“On behalf of the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong, I would like to express our appreciation for being part of this meaningful launch of the vascular treatment initiative. It is always inspiring to witness projects that bring real, life-changing impact to our communities.”
This effort is a true reflection of Rotary’s spirit of “Service Above Self”—addressing not just symptoms, but the root of health inequities, and giving our less fortunate kababayans access to medical care they deserve.
We, at RC Tiger Mandaluyong, stand in solidarity with this cause. We are committed to supporting initiatives like this, where compassion, innovation, and service come together to save lives.
Maraming salamat po for the opportunity to be part of this milestone.” #rotarycluboftigermandaluyong #MagicofRotary
