Charter President’s Message
Dear Fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Friends,
March has been a vibrant and fulfilling month for the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong—one that truly showcases The Magic of Rotary through leadership development, meaningful service, and dynamic fellowship.
We began with the President-Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) on March 8 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, where future leaders of Rotary Year 2025–2026 were equipped with tools to sustain and elevate the spirit of service. This month culminated with DISCON 2025 held on March 28–29 at the Manila Hotel, where I was deeply honored, as District Vocational Service Chair, to lead the awarding of the Top 3 Outstanding Vocational Awardees—individuals whose excellence in their professions inspire us to continue using our skills in service of others.
Our Zone 8 service projects made a lasting impact, including the successful bloodletting drive “Pusong Rizaliano: Dugo’y Alay sa Serbian” on March 14 at Jose Rizal University, and the empowering public image project “Empowered Women… Leaders in Rotary” on March 27 aired live on DWBL 1242 through Task Force Kalayaan. These efforts amplified Rotary’s visibility and advocacy for life-saving service and gender empowerment.
At the club level, we proudly launched the “Together, We Learn” outdoor billboard on March 8 at Eulogio Rodriguez Integrated School—a symbol of our ongoing commitment to education.
On March 15, we mounted “It’s a Femininomenon: Celebrating the Power of Women,” a 3-in-1 community project that brought together wellness (Zumba), awareness (Mental Health Talk), and action (Zone-Making Workshop) to honor and empower women. Fellowship remained strong through our 23rd Regular Meeting on March 13 at Alba’s, Estancia Mall and our 24th Meeting on March 15 at Aristocrat, Shaw Blvd., where members connected, shared insights, and planned for greater impact. Every project, meeting, and initiative we’ve taken on this month has added to the vibrant tapestry of who we are—not just as Rotarians—but as changemakers driven by heart, guided by purpose, and united by service. Let’s continue to spread The Magic of Rotary in all we do.
With pride and gratitude,
Hermenegildo “Hermie”G. Cariño
