Charter President’s Message

Dear Fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Friends,

As we embark on another year of service, we are reminded of the magic of Rotary—the power of ordinary individuals coming together to create extraordinary impact.

This January, the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong has continued to spark change through meaningful projects, leadership development, and unwavering fellowship.

 Club Activities:

Strengthening Bonds, Growing Together We began the year by supporting the District Rotaract Representative Visit and the Induction of the Rotaract Club of Highway Hills on January 9, 2025. On the same day, we celebrated growth within our own club as we inducted Rotaractor Caryl Yca Dante during our 18th Regular Meeting. Every new member brings fresh energy and passion, fueling the magic of Rotary service. Our 19th Regular Meeting on January 18 at Conti’s Bakeshop allowed us to reflect on our ongoing projects, while our 20th Meeting on January 29 at Avenida Place, Parañaque, brought us together for a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration—a symbol of renewal, prosperity, and shared commitment to service.

Club Service Project:

Empowering Communities, Creating Opportunities Rotary’s magic is best seen in the lives we touch. On January 18, we empowered aspiring entrepreneurs through Bayaninegosyo: Taho Making Training and Business Start-Up Strategies in Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong. By equipping participants with livelihood skills, we are not just giving assistance—we are creating opportunities for self-sufficiency and success.

On the same day, we strengthened community leadership through the Rotary Community Corps (RCC) Orientation and Induction, formally launching the Bayaninegosyo Community Organization. This initiative ensures that the impact of our work extends beyond a single event, fostering long-term development and resilience.

District Activities:

Sustaining the Magic of Leadership Rotary’s magic extends beyond our club, and we were proud to support RYLA 2025: Sustaining the Magic for the Future on January 18-19 in Ciudad Christia, where young leaders embraced the values of service and leadership. Additionally, the Midyear Review on January 25 at Club Filipino provided a valuable opportunity to reflect, recalibrate, and reinforce our goals for the months ahead.

As we continue this journey, let us keep the magic of Rotary alive—in the hands we help, the leaders we inspire, and the communities we uplift, we create ripples of change that transcend generations.

With gratitude and in service,

Hermie G. Cariño
