Charter President’s Message

Dear Rotarians and Friends of Rotary,

As we look back on the month of September, I am filled with gratitude for the unwavering dedication and active engagement of our Rotary family. This month, we witnessed remarkable participation in various district and club activities that not only deepened our knowledge but also reinforced our commitment to service.

We kicked off the month with The Rotary Foundation Roadshow on September 7 at Club Filipino, where we reconnected with the core mission of Rotary. This was followed by Rotary 101: Back to Basics on September 28, providing us with a timely reminder of the principles that guide us.

Within our own club, September was a month of learning and collaboration. On September 12, during our 7th Regular Meeting, we held a special health talk on dengue awareness with Dr. Richard Custodio, empowering us to better address health concerns in our communities. On September 27, during our 8th Regular Meeting, PP Elsie Yang-Ang enlightened us on public image, followed by the signing of a Sisterhood Agreement with the Rotary Club of Health Keepers, strengthening our network for future projects.

September 21 was a truly inspiring day for service as we launched several impactful projects. We advocated for the rights of senior citizens through Empowering Lives, provided mobility assistance through our Wheel and Cane to Will project, and collaborated with Zonta Club of Makati Legaspi to raise awareness on mental health and Alzheimer’s disease. These efforts demonstrate our club’s continued dedication to addressing diverse community needs.

I am grateful for the teamwork, passion, and service that each of you has brought to our initiatives. Let us carry this energy forward as we continue to create meaningful and lasting change in the months ahead.

Yours in Rotary Service,
Hermenegildo “Hermie” G. Cariño
