Raising awareness about domestic violence is key to preventing abuse and supporting victims particularly women and girls.

The Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong conducted a seminar entitled “May Karapatan Ka Babae: Seminar on Violence Against Women, on August 23, 2024, at 9:00 am, Barangay Hall Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.

Atty. Erika Frances S. Buluran, State Solicitor II at the Office of the Solicitor General, was invited as Resource Speaker. Atty. Buluran discussed Republic Act No. 9262, a comprehensive legal framework that provides protection and relief to women and children suffering from violence and abuse in domestic settings. Highlighting the importance of legal recourse, protective measures, and support services in addressing and preventing abuse.  A total of 100 participants attended the seminar composed of Barangay officers, VAWC officers and Bantay Bata.
