July is Maternal and Child Health Month in Rotary while Nutrition Month in Schools.

The Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong conducted a Basic Seminar on Nutrition to 100

Kinder/Grade 1 students and 100 parents of Eulogio Rodriguez Integrated School last July 20, 2024 at ERIS Gymnasium.

Nurse Maverick W. Antonio delivered the lecture on basic nutrition with emphasis that food plays a vital role in preparing children and students to learn and making sure they are healthy enough to attend school each day. Nutrition impacts brain development, memory and cognitive function, energy, attention and focus which are all critical to the ability to absorb and retain information. At the end of the lecture, the mothers were served arrozaldo and snacks for the students.

The project aims to establish and maintain public awareness program on importance of good nutrition for mothers and children.   Also in attendance during the seminar are 12 members of the Rotary Club of Tiger Mandaluyong, 12 teachers and 8 volunteers
