Dear Fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors and Friends of Rotary,

I am pleased to present to you the 10th Issue of SIKLAB for Rotary Year 2024-2025.

This April, as Rotary International highlights the theme of the Environment, we are called to embrace our role as stewards of our community, our great state, our country, and communities around the world. Rotary has long been committed to service above self, and this includes preserving and restoring the world around us for future generations. From tree-planting initiatives to clean-up drives, from conservation efforts to reducing plastic waste, our collective efforts can create a lasting impact.

Let’s honor this month’s theme by reaffirming our commitment to the environment. In doing so, we not only protect the world we cherish but also strengthen the values of service and care that define Rotary.

One of the significant projects of this month is the “Vascular Treament Global Grant Project Turnover to the Kidney Foundation of the Philippines” under Global Grant Number 2454244 from the Rotary Foundation of the Rotary International. The Project aimed to (a) provide affordable renal care to the communities of Pasig City and its surrounding cities; (b) provide facilities necessary for the communities to gain access to renal care, particularly the vascular access surgery required for dialysis. We express our appreciation for being part of this meaningful launch of the vascular treatment initiative. It is always inspiring to witness projects that bring real, life-changing impact to our communities.

This effort is a true reflection of Rotary’s spirit of “Service Above Self”—addressing not just symptoms, but the root of health inequities, and giving our less fortunate kababayans access to medical care they deserve. We, at RC Tiger Mandaluyong, stand in solidarity with this cause and committed to supporting initiatives like this, where compassion, innovation, and service come together to save lives.

Let’s continue to embrace the spirit of Rotary and inspire one another as the Magic of Rotary continues……
